Good deal, but no way Allstate can fix an apple device as they're not sending it to apple to have it fixed.

this should be cheaper considering M4 Pro is 10-15% faster than M3 Max and twice as fast in AI workloads. M3 Max only advantage over M4 Pro is 10-15% in GPU.

20% off MSRP for a nearly 3 year old refurbished laptop is wild. Good ol Apple brainwashing people into saying this is an "outstanding price' LOL

I paid this price 2 years ago for a brand new one.

This is going to be useless if you plan to get AppleCare+.
Going through and relying on Apple for your repairs is way easier than AllState who might even turn their backs against you.

$2,799 is not the MSRP. The official Apple.com refurb store lists the retail price of this configuration as $3,899, and is selling the refurbished version for $3,299.
You may have purchases a base model 16" MacBook Pro for the price on this deal, but there's no way you got the listed configuration for that price.

I paid $2500 for a brand new M3 Max 1tb 48gb, in 2023, 14" though. I'm a professional videographer it most definitely isn't the base spec.

I can't tell if this is a joke. This is literally what nobody has ever said in the history of computers _until now_

Maybe it's to upgrade from a 16 M1 Max base config
