Last time I ordered a jug of Frank's from Amazon, it exploded. They tossed the box on my porch half broken, and there was a red pool around it that permanently stained my deck

Last time I ordered, it arrived in perfect condition.
You can't beat the price, but the expiration date must be close. I would jar it up and either can it in a water bath or refrigerate it after opening. Quality goes downhill faster than the regular Franks's once opened and stored at room temp, probably because of the oil in it.
It's an interesting sauce and stays pretty true to Frank's original in flavor, but it is very mild. It makes a good sandwich or dipping sauce, but also, if you want to make mild Buffalo wings (some people can't handle any heat), this is a really good base for that. You'll still get the Frank's flavor, but it will be mild enough for most people.
Never had this flavor, but I've bought the gallon size of the regular hot sauce or buffalo sauce 14 times and this is by far the cheapest price. Cheapest I've paid for either is $8.99 in 2022. I still have two full gallons from previous deals so I'll have to pass on this even though it's tempting for how cheap it is.
I've had gallons of the regular Buffalo sauce on hand for years and replenish when it gets cheap. Lasts way past the best by date in the fridge. Never had this thicker version for wings, but reviews say it works well. I agree the regular is on the mild side, but I sneak in a few drops of Dave's Insanity or similar crazy stuff to the jug when opening to push the heat up.

FWIW, I think the sandwich sauce is much milder than the regular Frank's Original. Easy to fix as you say, though.
