way worse, AMD now only has the AI Max and the 9955HX/X3D can beat Intel's Ultra HX chips.

Basically, it's similar at single-threaded performance and more efficient but slower at heavily multithreaded tasks.
gtfo with your grok comparison lol. It's a great deal overall, specially given that you can just upgrade the ram.

You can look up the Passmark benchmarks to determine this on your own, for any processor:

Google "passmark AI 7 350" (Single-core benchmark is 3911, multi-core: 24548) and "passmark Ultra 7 255hx" (Single-core 4661, multi-core 50,946)

So: roughly 15% slower single core and 50% (!!) slower multi-core performance

You can try again asking but with main configuration like processo, RAM, SDD, Graphics card, display etc (not copy paste) and price. Folks here respond very well when asked properly.

Battery wise? Yes. quite alot.
Pure performance for gaming and productivity? No.

These processors are really not competing with eachother, the Ryzen is aimed towards perf and efficiency while the 255HX is just the desktop SOC shoved into a laptop.

I'll buy it when they release 5070 Ti version around this price point with 1TB storage. 512 is a joke for gaming laptop, are they try to compete with Apple with low spec.

I just picked up the p14s for $1100. Nice little laptop, but starting to wonder if I ought to go for something like this for an extra few hundred $. Seems to be quite a large range of Lenovo models out there!

My grandson is enrolled in a Cyber Operations college program for the fall...would this be a suitable laptop for him. The school is recommending minimum 32GB RAM and min 512 SSD with A1 7 chip?
