Review from previous deal: Ive had this brand for a few years. TLDR - Good value at $4-$5 per unit and bright enough in a rural setting using 4 to illuminate my backyard, one every 15-20 feet and a few more here and there. The included battery wont keep the lights on until morning unless they get DIRECT sunlight for 6-8 hours. Mine are mounted by hooks and I have 20 of these - I switch them out in the evening and a day of semi-direct sunlight plus a day where I place them to maximize sunlight collection keeps them on all night long at max brightness. Motion sensor works well for deer and human sized objects but a groundhog wont trip the light. Eventually, multiple individual LEDs have failed in about half the units but they still continue to work. Sometimes 1 or 2, sometimes 6 or more which shouldnt be a surprise given the price point. Id recommend running a bead of silicone where the solar panel meets the housing and drilling the smallest hole at the bottom of the battery cover to allow any condensation an escape route. This mod is worth while if you plan to mount it that makes easy access unreasonable (like I did with the one mounted at the top of my garage). The battery is a flat top type and buying a higher capacity battery more than doubles the cost of each light. That said they will accommodate a higher mAH if you were so inclined.

Why would you buy more of the same ones if they crapped out so soon?

I bought both 4 and 6 packs. The 6 pack lights are smaller, seems to be brighter and stays on longer, but also have less battery storage.

bought 6 last month for similar price ($20.79). i used hooks to install them since i had shady parts of my backyard and needed to take them away for recharging during the day. can't comment on the quality of the smaller ones since i just recently bought them but i've been using the larger ones with the button located at the back for months now and they haven't given me any issues so far.

They can work in partial shade if they aren't triggered all night and you set the mode to motion only and not nightlight, Florida is definitely sunny enough. I have some under an over hang that still work.
Thanks very much for taking the time to tell me this. It's good news!

Bought a 4 pack of these 5+ years ago (they look identical at last), still going strong and last the entire night at 50% power, with 100% upon motion sensing. Couldn't be more pleased.

Aootek brand was not there 2 years back. You seemed to be one of the founder members of this start up.

I bought a 4-pack of the backswitch models in January. I was really pleased with those but would have preferred the switch on the front, so I bought a set of the front switch ones a couple weeks later thinking they would be identical other than the location of the switch(they are not).

The odd thing is the back switch ones retain the mode setting, the front switch ones lose it pretty often. I would rather have ones that keep the setting permanently than flaky ones i have to reset often. I like them dim light with motion sensing brightness.

I bought another 4 pack of back switch model on prime day and mounted them this evening.

They are spaced 16 feet apart on the front fence line which helps us and our neighbors when dog walking down the gravel road.

I'm sending these front button ones back. They are about half the size of the rear button ones. That means the solar collectors are about half the size also and I just don't trust them to work as well. They probably have smaller batteries also although I can't verify this.

Perhaps reread my comment, even with my typo it should have been pretty clear I was stating this style....NOT brand necessarily. "They look identical at least" suggesting the same type of light or model.

We all know these brand names are meaningless and change by the hour so the random group of letters preceding the description would be my last concern.

P.S. The brand was actually "M pow" but the lights were clearly the same design. (hopefully that random group of letters clears things up).

Exactly. I just got these in and am also sending them back. The size is a joke

these ended up being smaller than the last batch I bought... still bright, unsure yet about how far the light will reach since smaller

ones I did buy before - 4 pack -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NQ4L...tle_5&th=1
5.7" wide - 2.6 inch tall

This one has good reviews either way - https://www.amazon.com/product-re...geNumber=1

4.13 wide - 2.09 inches tall

inside house I pressed button and it is still bright AF - so I don't think it'll be noticeable difference outside of size in hand

I also got these for $17 in the past, also has held up well in winter weather outside -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/your-ac...er_details

hence why I am saying, i had good luck with these. they have held up in winter and summer and still going with no issues
