Not screaming hot but very good deal for these. Retail price would be somewhere in the $35 to $45 range

Sanrenmu makes very nice small knives. They put some care into their budget lineup that I sometimes do not see with much more expensive knives. As a for instance you will find that blade centering on these budget knives is close to spot on.

The pig iron one is compact but built like a tank and the 7049 with the carabiner clip is one of my all time favorite knives and most used knives. Some pictures attached as the ones on their site show little.

These 3-pack knives are often on sale for $20. I bought a set a couple years ago and they're holding up pretty well. I just use them to break down boxes. I left one outside overnight in the rain and the blade started to rust, but it still works fine. So maybe not highest quality stainless steel.

Pig iron one would probably be ok, but given those are farm animals, you might like something more purpose built with a blunt tip and a little longer. Mercer and Victorinox have blades for ~ $30.

Did you notice and i find it fascinating that on 7049 the the thumb stud is not just thumb stud but part of a blade lock system? It must be slightly pushed which pushes on the liner lock that then releases the blade. It is designed so well I that you just kind of naturally depress it and I only figured it out after trying to pull the blade out by hand. Thought my knife was stuck shut for moment or two into I puzzled it out. For such a kind of high end feature to be built into a $7 knife is what I give the company credit for.

Buck 116 Caper U.S.A.. Here's mine which I purchased in 1971 looking sharp after coming homer from Buck's lifetime free service. Good to hear that you ensure that the sheeps have peacefully moved on prior to skinning.

Yes - I really like that locking feature since this one also has a clip that I keep on my keys and avoids inadvertent opening/punctures of my junk.

I'm with you, punctures of your junk should always be avoided if possible.

I use it clipped to my life vest when kayaking for the same reason. I fish brackish and saltwater and it has suffered some rust but is one of the few knives that have made it for some years still usable. Other knives have been done in one trip.

I buy this almost every time I see it. I wish they would not include the black edgy knife I have too many of them.
