Pretty sure this is a common strategy; they'll slightly change a model # precisely so price matching risk is reduced.

I have a 65" Hisense TV that won't boot up. It didn't last 2 years and now have to pay someone to haul it off. Absolute junk.

I was patiently saving for an 80+inch OLED, but I finally gave in and pulled the trigger on this one. I'd rather save the extra $$ to get a new AVR for my HT. I know I'm sacrificing major pic quality for sheer size and value.

It's arriving Aug 6th they told me wall mount installation is free, but I needed to buy this:

with that wallmount yea? I guess the positive thing is its future proof for when you get 140"

should've got this:

yea its only 150 lb limit, tv is 130 lb. I emailed the manufacturer and they said they actually test over 150 limit. its nice to be able to pull tv out to access connections.

I did. Never had a Hisense before and even if I had, it's a crap shoot these days with TVs. My Samsung got purple splotches all over it after two years. My Vizio straight up died after 3. So for me, the peace of mind for the next five years makes the warranty worth it, even if I never have to use it. I seem to have bad luck with this stuff.
I just purchased this TV but didn't get the protection since it has a 2 year warranty and I plan to buy a better TV 2 years from now. Would you or anyone else explain the Geek Squad Protection? Because from what I can tell online, the protection doesn't kick in until 2 years later (once the original factory warranty expires). That means that unless there's a power surge, Geek Squad will do nothing the first 2 years from purchase. Am I wrong about that? I did see something about a lemon policy, though. Does that mean that REGARDLESS of when I purchased the TV, Best Buy would replace or refund me if the TV is a lemon. Is that true?

I bought this mount for the 100" hisense, but with my stud spacing (16" spacing, with one right in the center of where I want the TV), I would have had it on the most off center holes for the bolts to the studs and also have to slide it all the way to the side. The Best Buy installers wouldn'd mount it off-center on the studs in the first place (even though the holes are there). I ended up starting a return and ordering this one off of Amazon that is wide enough and will span 3 of my studs. The Best Buy guys will be back in 3 days to mount. They left the TV here in the box.

There was a lot of bad memory chips installed in some of the 2021 or 2022 Hisense Black Friday 65" TVs, bought my mother one of those and it also died within 2 years, about 18 months actually.

The more I watch this TV the more I love it! Watched All Quiet On the Western Front in HDR last night and it was amazing. Can't believe this was only $1400. Unreal!

I replaced the first generation Sony 85" from 2018 and wow. This tv blows it away.
It also looks better than my 2016 oled. Is this bc of hdr and Dolby vision on the new tvs? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me. It may be time to get a new oled if that's the case.

Just another update after a few weeks. TV is amazing. Even figured out that I can cast Dolby Vision movies files straight to the TV with the Plex app. Watched Alien Earth in DV and wow there are some fantastic high contrast scenes and some popping colors too. If this TV ever comes back at this price don't hesitate to buy it.

I've had the TV for about 2 weeks. I spent a few days reading the AVS forums to get the calibration down. I'm blown away by the picture quality and sheer size. This is my first TV purchase in 12 years, I'm coming from an open box 60" plasma that I purchased at Best Buy from a Slickdeal I saw here back in the day.

By comparison, I spent $1250 on the 2013 open box Samsung 60" plasma with 5 year warranty. $1400 for this monster was a steal.

I need some help. mine was finally delivered yesterday! It seems like its very dull...like it has something on the screen and I don't see any evidence there is some sort of screen protector on it from factory! Also the glare on the screen reflects light petty bad and makes it un-watchable. its like something is on the screen ...
Any help I would appreciate .... I currently have LG and Sony OLED TVs so I know they have glossy screens and has big clear stickers on the screen out of box.
distorts clarity!

and a wall mount reccomendation would be nice...Best Buy refused to hand it on the ones that I ordered that were recommended here!!

arg! thanks in advance
