No comment on the mopping function, I never installed the mop piece and feel validated every time I read a deals post of a combo mop/vac. My house has a stupid floor plan that doesn't jive well with robot vacuums (two steps down in to the living room, two steps down in to guest bedroom #2, two steps down in to office, and an upstairs) so this vacuum just deals with 570sqft of kitchen+dining/foyer/guest bath/guest bed #1 - according to the app. Soo, I have a vacuum in every room and find this to be equivalent to my best vacuum, a $400 roborock.
Main floor area that this q5 services sees all of the front door gravel grit, pine needles, and leaf bits, and collects an absurd amount of dog hair at this time of year (I'm kidding, the shedding never ends). I run it every day and empty it every morning as one of the few positive habits I've been able to form as a professional manchild SDer. This unit has the largest dust bin of any vacuum I own, yet the oddest to empty. You remove the filter to dump out the trash. I don't mind since it gives me a forced opportunity to smack the filter against the inside wall of the trash can. I rarely use the brush to clean the filter.
My main floor is hard wood with the exception of a 27sqft low pile runner rug at my front door and a bath mat. Transitions fine and cleans both perfectly. My only gripe is one shared with two of my other vacuums - the bin isn't removed via a pop top. You have to pull it out of the rear of the vacuum. The other two crapo (but still lidar) vacuums always pull away from the dock when I do this, and then spend a few minutes bumping in to things until they're home again, even though they just needed to pull straight forward one inch. This q5 doesn't, maybe it sits on the charging contacts better.
TL;DR I think highly of this vacuum especially at this price. I think I paid $40 more new from a previous SD at the beginning of the year. Before I got one for my medium-pile carpeted living room, I used two maps on this and hauled it down. Worked fine down there too.
I don't know what "acceptable" condition means, none of my vacuums slam in to anything enough to scuff. They just accumulate dust on the tops. I assume you'll receive a vacuum that looks mostly new (before a few cleanings), or can be made to look like that with a dust wipe. 187 days on my original filter and brush. I've wiped the sensors a few times.
