How is it the normal price when it's 20% off and has never been posted here before for this price or any other?
Because it's marked up but has been reduced through "promotions" from the beginning. Check their own site direct and you'll see the same price.

I mentioned this in a previous deal, but this model has a surprisingly high idle power if you're used to other mini PCs. Mine in Proxmox at single user mode was 30W, with some VMs running mostly idle it averaged 75W, full load was a little more than 200W. The AMD chiplet design and the older server class X710 10GBe NICs were said to be the blame but nonetheless, if you are running this as a always on server, the electricity and heat are factors worth considering. It is double or triple of something like the MS-01 or a NUC.

Based on Notebookcheck's review, the 7945HX has an idle power draw of approximately 8.3 Watts, which is about twice that of the 13900HX. Assuming the 9955HX have a similar or slightly improved idle power consumption, I'm trying to account for the total system power draw comparing it to MS-01. What other components probably contribute to the additional power consumption at idle or non-turbo mode?

I'm also checking your other thread quote 'dummy HDMI plug' will help, that's interesting...

Fun fact! These mini pcs, ar glasses have multiple listing of same products. All of them will seem differently priced. But after applying coupon, they come down to same price

What does having been posted here have anything to do with whether or not it's a good deal? This site isn't the end all be all source of truth of what is and isn't a good deal.
