I didn't even bother reinstalling per say. I just took my plex server drive which was a SATA SSD, cloned it using DiskGenius onto an NVME drive.

You not understanding why Windows or the BIOS can't boot from your drive is USER ERROR, and nothing to do with the PC. It is more likely that you had a LEGACY boot setting on your windows install instead of UEFI.

Initially it didn't recognize my cloned drive because my original server was still running legacy BIOS setting. So unless you go into the Bios and switch to legacy boot, it won't show up in the list of boot devices.

All I did was boot into Windows recovery and run bcdboot switch command to create the EFI boot files in the System Partition (small 100-500MB partition in front of main windows partition) on my existing plex server drive. DONE.
Booted up on NVME drive without an issue. Fully migrated my PLEX Server OS in 10 minutes without having to do any Plex DB restores or any of that.
I'm running 2 of these units with NVME drives installed without a single BIOS update needed.

Yes, the rubber feet has to be pulled off to get to the screws, but I just pressed them back on. It's a tack like glues so unless you scrapped it off, then it will reattach.

If anyone is considering buying these, ignore the noise from those who don't understand how Windows works. This machine is way better than I expected.

Other than being an offensive reply chances are you got a box with a different bios on it than I did because the manufacturer told me to install that to get nvme to work chances are also you're running like a gen 3 drive or something that's compatible with an nvme pcie version 3 slot mine were not. We're also sounds like you haven't really put the thing to that much use because did you would have seen both noisy and warm. If you want a piece of crap computer listen to the noise from people who don't understand how to stress test a computer.

That's a great question because a lot of these folks do not ever update the bios unless they need it to keep selling more product. They sure have been a lot of Intel vulnerabilities fixed but I don't think there are too many of them in the celeron series. Where you can really get bitten in the back side is the the AMD machines. Back windows 11 first launched there were a ton of problems with the firmware TPM for AMD CPUs. Nobody really used the TPM for much before then so the bugs never got discovered. Not a whole lot of them get bios updates to fix that unless the product was currently selling.

Did you clone the drive from old Plex server and put it into this new one without issues? Was it similar hardware or a lot different? I've heard there can be issues with cloning to a new PC because of hardware and driver differences. Also, I don't get the malware comment. Not my point at all. I am talking about someone earlier posted their treadmill wasn't working that it keeps getting error 07 on the screen. This error is because the safety lanyard wasn't attached. This person complained to the manufacturers Facebook their brand new treadmill was broken out of the box and didn't work. Same kind of thing all day long on 3D printer FB groups or any other group I see. FB is all either complete morons or advertisements! People asking if their new device is compatible with Iphone when every advertisement says not compatible with Iphone Android only the cover on the manual says not compatible with Iphone the website you order it from says Android only yet they still ask? Idiocracy is a documentary! The world is at peoples fingertips with AI and Google and people are so lazy the have to ask other people on FB to go to the website and copy and past readily available directions directly to them it is so pathetic and sad IMO!

Yes you can. These are capable of hardware accelerated transcoding using QSV (requiring Plex pass). Fwiw Jellyfin is a free alternative and does not require a "premium" subscription.

RPi is typically the standard for an emulation station for retro at least, but this should be very capable of doing what you're wanting all the way up to PS2 quality (depending on the game and emulator.) Some have had good luck with Wii U emulation as well, but that's much more hit and miss.
