figured it out. there are two models this one without power adapter and another with power adapter. the one with power adapter seems to be the only one with hdmi 2.1. kind of misleading

Bought yesterday and just tested it out and looks like it does support HDMI 2.1

Legion Go 8.8" (Win11 'stock') -> iVANKY dock --> Samsung Neo G9, 5120x1440 @ 144 Hz + HDR On.

Nice metal construction, honestly excellent deal for $20 for any USB-C hub let alone a "dock-shaped" one

I picked this up. Picture seems clearer than the little hub I bought 2years ago. But it might be in my head. Anyway it works for 4k to the extent you ever use it.
