This must be a new release. Looks like it might be a good one.

Great flic. Have the BD version which is pretty good for a movie like this where it is more character development and dialogue driven. I'm sure the 4k looks even better though.

Yes this is better PQ wise but nothing to right home about.
There is no audio upgrade.

In my experience the upscaled BR vision is pretty good & not that far off especially at this price.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the movie, itself, or just the 4K version, but the movie came out 18 years ago. The 4K version came out last year. I have it and it's a good upgrade.

4k. At least when I checked blu-ray.com there was no 4k release on their site for what that's worth so was guessing it was newer

I'm with you. I fall more into the "creator's intent" camp than the "I upmix DTS-HD Mono to DTS Neural:X because I can" camp. I get that the upmixers do a pretty good job, but I disagree with some pundits that upmixing is just as good as a properly mixed object-based remaster.

The simple fact is it seems like the damn studios are getting lazier and lazier with the audio remastering, often times not even touching the audio track, other times seems like they're just feeding it through an algorithm (i.e. "At-Mouse"). Yet they want folks to shell out $40+ for a new steelbook with the same tired DTS-HD 5.1 track.

It's almost like they never really wanted us to have physical media in the first place...

Really awesome thriller and realistic movie.
Very underrated.
Everyone did an awesome job especially Mark Ruffalo and Jack Gallaghan.
I loved the scene where Jack's character was in the basement and then, he thought the person who invited him down, might be the zodiac killer.. Gosh the tension build up to that point was awesome.

Not my type of movie, but my car is in it. Not a starring role, but the equivalent of an "extra". So I also got to hang around for a few days (and one night shoot). Boring, but the food was really good.

Or he's confusing David Fincher with David Lynch who did pass in January.

What kind of food? Did your car get a mention in the credits??

No credit, but it did pay $200/day plus gas money. As far as food, I don't recall a lot of specifics. There were breakfast burritos in the mornings, bacon, sausage, eggs, donuts, danish, snacks all day. Lunches and dinners were buffet-style. Hey, free food always tastes better! LOL. This was not the only production I got to participate in, it's been a few decades, so some details have faded. Thanks for your interest. I took my driving test in that car, and we drove it to Las Vegas for our honeymoon (53 years ago). Two of my sons took their driving tests in it too.
