One of the hidden costs/traps in these low-cost Fire TVs is the voice remote. If you ever lose the remote and factory reset the TV, you could find yourself with a TV awaiting the RF pairing of the voice remote. It is potentially impossible to bypass this screen with an IR-only remote, though I've read of success with the FireTV app. Replacement remotes are available, including first-party options from Best Buy/Insignia and Amazon, but the $20-30 price is a significant percentage of the highly discounted retail prices at which these devices are listed.

Definitely do whatever you can to keep the included remote paired closely with the TV.

Doesn't mention vesa mount standard. Another insignia I have is a really weird pattern, but the tv itself has been fine.

Kids, pets, friends, lose sight of it when moving a seat cover, then have a robot vac push it under your armchair... (I may or may not have had that last one happen to me...)

In the most recent case I bought the TV for the in-laws and they returned it at a later point... without the legs (they had wall-mounted it) or the remote. Lesson learned: no returns accepted!

The new F40 line is 1080p. Best Buy should remove the 4K in the title but in the description, it states 1080p. Amazon says the 32" is 1080p and the 40" is 720p but it is 1080p. I have the F20 line that is the 1080p model and not the 720p cheaper model.

I paid $4000 for a 40" Sony XBR2 in 2005. Still using it daily as a monitor 20 years later to type this reply. $200 per year, not bad for this level of quality. Pay once, cry once.

I bought the Insignia 24" F20 model (1080p) for $69- $10 free bonus reward recently and I have been happy with it. I have a couple 32" Samsung televisions at home but I wanted a smaller 24" television. Even though I am a big time Fire TV stick user, I still prefer the non-smart old school Samsung remote with the many buttons and just having the firestick or chromecast. I am an OTA antenna user and notice that the Insignia uses wifi for the tv guide and channel information. With the non-smart television, the channel information is based on the OTA antenna and is pretty much always correct. The Insignia has an awesome 2 week channel guide but it is dependent on being on wifi. For some odd reason, oxygen true crime channel is being described as cozi channel in NY so the the description is completely wrong with the Insignia whether it has wifi or not. It is always wrong in the description. I even updated my television too and nothing fixed that. I may be watching Dateline but the description is showing up Colombo. It is just this one channel but I watch the oxygen true crime a lot so it is annoying. I have Prime, Hulu and Peacock too but I just prefer the regular old school remotes as a OTA antenna user. I still definitely enjoy the Insignia but I do prefer the old school remote.
