Current VIOFO products use a newer, better sensor.

The Sony IMX335 sensor in this deal is getting dated. Good value at this price point, if multiple cameras on a budget is the main objective.

Thanks so much! I had the m550 in my car that I wrecked a couple of weeks ago and totaled so I was needing one for my new beater. Perfect timing! Wonder what's the difference between this and the regular m550 though?

I see the cam uses adhesive to secure on windshield. I guess a suction cup ver is more suitable if I am to use on rental during vacation? TIA

Scroll to th very last image on Amazon for side by side comparison. Looks like front cam on this one is 4k vs 2.5k, and this one has dual starvis sensors vs single.

The adhesive style is best for any permanent use. I wouldn't personally bother bringing my dashcam with me for a vacation, but you do you.

I've never heard of this brand and would go Viofo, Thinkware, Blackvue, Garmin over this.

Even with a capacitor, Permanent style is not recommend if you live in a hot clime with direct sunlight (cali, az) hit the window. I have to remove mine when parked at home becauise of this

The camera slides off the mount. Use the permanent mount in your car. Get this if for if/when you want to use it in other cars. But honestly it would probably be easier/cheaper to get a $20 dash cam with a suction cup and throw it in your travel bag or just get a dash cam app on your phone and throw a suction cup phone mount in your bag.

I bought a redtiger F7n Pro on prime day, $100. has a "starvis 2" sensor, but doesnt specify which one. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKSY6..._title_0_4 )

This AZDOME one has an older starvis 1 imx335.

Any thoughts on which one is better?
