The reason why Wire Nuts are no longer considered safe is:
Inconsistent installation quality that cannot be inspected/verified. Wire Nuts can be both under and over torqued, both of which can result in a poor connection.
They have poor performance when used with stranded wire (as commonly found in a lot of prewired "smart" switches/sockets/etc). In fact if you're using Wire Nuts to secure solid and stranded wire together, you're making a mistake.
Lack mechanical locking. They rely on friction, with no positive locking. Vibration or movement can cause them to loosen over time (which is why it is commonly recommended to replace all Wire Nuts when working in an outlet, even ones not directly altered).
Not gas-tight which can allow oxidation to occur on the joint, which can increase resistance and therefore heat.
Not IEC 60998 or 60364 compliant because clamp force and performance cannot be proven (see inconsistent installation).
Ultimately a Wire Nut, when installed by an experienced electrician can be safe and likely is safe. However, that is the exception rather than the rule. Rookie electricians exist, inexpensive construction contractors exist, and homeowners most certainly exist. Inspectors cannot see inside a Wire Nut, so cannot tell you if it was done correctly or not. Mechanically connected connectors exist because they consistently and provably provide a safe connection that can be visually confirmed.
The majority of the world uses these connectors and is using them on 230V @ 16A (3680W) Vs. the 120V @ 20A (2400W) for North America, which means much smaller tolerances. But supposedly, and only online, do random people appear to claim they "see these fail all the time" without a lick of proof. Pretty clear that some people have an agenda, and will just outright fabricate annotates to further it.
And to be totally clear, I absolutely adore Wago wire connectors. Just get them from Home Depot or an electrical parts distributor. You have a fairly decent chance at getting "commingled inventory" from Amazon, which means fake product. I wouldn't trust that in my home for a moment.

That said, I agree with other commenter this looks about the same as the normal Menards price although they don't sell an assortment pack.

I mean, it's entirely up to you. You have 100% verified distributors like Home Depot and electrical supply houses. It's mains power. You want to risk literally burning your house down to save a meager $5? Your call buddy. You have all the info, you have all the facts. It's your judgement call. I'd double check your homeowners insurance coverage first though. 🤣
That was my initial impression. That said it's only 28 pieces so as QTY goes down, price per piece goes up. This "brand" (not Wago) I believe buys Wago in bulk and repackages them.
That said, I agree with other commenter this looks about the same as the normal Menards price although they don't sell an assortment pack.
IMHO Wagos shine ESPECIALLY on stranded wires that don't play well with wire nuts, which basically means most light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc etc. They also work very well in tight boxes that are busy or where wires are short.
