I guess I am that boomer. I prefer high cotton count, at least 70% which is very hard to come by nowadays, when a textile close to skin such as socks, undergarments, and bedding. When I wear socks that contain all polyester, my feet slide inside the shoe because polyester is slippery.

I have had these for several years, never a rip or hole. Very thick and nice. Feel as new as the day I got them. I will re-up here since I've lost a few!
The laundry gnomes strike again. Good to know they don't just hit up our house.

Gross. Polyester socks will make your feet sweat like crazy. Get cotton or wool.

Is this good or bad?
Depends if you want 100% plastic/oil based socks or not.

These are solid. Purchased 2 pairs 3 years ago when they were 8.99. Still haven't opened the second pair.

Is this the current blend now? Funny, years ago they were like 30% cotton. Then went to around 15%. now 0%.
If that is true, it is probably a good thing. I wear the XL size and I have found that they tend to shrink after a couple of years. Maybe these will stay true to size. But I don't remember these Puma socks ever containing cotton.

I bought Adidas and Puma socks several times from Costco. The Adidas socks wear out easily at the midfoot, and the Puma socks lose their shape easily

As a runner, 100% polyester is best and less likely to create blisters. I've never liked cotton socks. If they get wet, they stay wet. After a few washes, cotton becomes like cardboard. These polyester socks don't make my feet sweat at all.
