Plumbers teflon tape is a better idea
I started to use Blue Monster MDPE Blue Teflon Tape instead of the box store white tape. Which one is the plumber taflon tape?

Is using a thick tape (blue gorilla, I think) and a lot of it help? they would barely made any contact.
It would reduce the amount of metal-to-metal contact in the screwed-together joint, but it will not eliminate it. It may slow corrosion, but it will not stop it. The better solution would be to buy hoses with brass fittings if you are going to connect them to brass spigots/faucets
