Slickdeals search is broken again today. This time I was left wondering why there are so many laptops in the "babies & kids" category.

I think I got my own laptop from a Doc W post. Keep it up.

Right, it's a foldable laptop. As stated in the title and photo of the post

I tested one of these out around 4 months ago.

It ran pretty hot, but was otherwise a pretty neat device.

If you havent looked up the screen cracking issue, I would. My take was that it's a prominent enough issue that it seems real, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge it.

Some people think it's mainly displays made in India, or something. Idk.

At the end of the day, while I really wanted something like this for my accounting classes, I decided risking the screen cracking issue wasn't worth it to me.

I got it for ~$500 on a Best Buy open box and returned it after doing research. I felt like every time I touched it, I needed to treat it like I was making an end game move in jenga. You can't even shut it after using it for fear of spontaneous cracking.

Cool laptop, tho.

What brand are you using in the meantime? I'm thinking a mid-to-high end HP or Dell with a good display (high res, good brightness, color and etc) would do well for accounting work.

There isn't much about SD's (since the "redesign") that isn't broken. And nothing is getting fixed.
