These are much more useful than the Mastercards - as a few of my utility companies no longer accept them. I was at Staples at 10 am this morning and got 9, as were the only other 10 people in the store
Most of these have expiration dates around 2031/2032 at this point. With that said, its better to not hang on to these very long. They can get lost, stolen, etc. These deals typically happen once a month for the Visas and once a month for the Master cards so there isn't really a reason to hang on to a bunch of them long term (unless you're trying to meet minimum spend on a new credit card).

Utilities are about the only way I've found left to empty these over the past year as blackhawk keeps restricting these are retail places for purchases which previously accepted these for years.

There is significant risk verses minor reward. They get misplaced or lost. They may get stolen. They eventually expire. They aren't accepted in many locations. I struggle to understand why these would still be of interest. I didn't consider utilities though.
Why would these be beneficial for utilities over a normal cc or check card? Genuinely curious. Do you these count towards staples rewards or something? Otherwise it just seems like you are converting $200 for $200, but in a less secure form.
