Unfortunately the replacement hotends are, and have always been, on preorder, and the nozzles are not even sold. There are 3rd party offerings on Amazon, but they aren't cheap. Other printer parts aren't available anywhere, notably the original build plates.

You can use Bambu plates you just have to line it up with the front of the plate instead of the back. It's a hair smaller but I've had no issues doing this.

There's always some type of cash back with C1. I got 18% cash back when I ordered the printer and 15% when I ordered some filament a couple of weeks ago. Just add stuff to your cart, but don't check out and wait a day or two for the cash back email offer from C1.

If you like any degree of control, just know the firmware for this printer is quite limiting. Also, the fans are jet engines.

How much of an upgrade is this over an ender 3 V3KE? looking for a reason to upgrade as I'm having issues already with my ender and can't seem to get it right-
I have had an Ender 3 V3KE and and a CR10-Smart Pro as well, the Centauri Carbon (I got mine last month from pre-order) is Core X Y (the build plate only goes down not back and forth) the size is bigger than the KE 256 × 256 × 256 mm KE is 220 x 220 x 220. Having a fully enclosed printer is nice as well (there are addon's that you can 3d print so you don't have to leave the door open to print pla) the updated lighting is better than the first batch and they have fixed several issues that come along with the printer. I will say the C.C. (Centauri Carbon) is louder than my enders, but that is due to fans and I can always change them out if I need to, but they don't bother me. I've printed about 100 hours on mine so far with no issues. I am also using Orca slicer to upload and cut files with as well. I've used ender printers for several years (I started with the ender 3 pro) and have upgraded as new models have come out. The C.C. is the best of the printers that I have used so far and I am just about ready to sell my other ender print so I can have 2 of the C.C. to use.

For the printer? Have you checked with them. I ordered mine last month and it'll be here tomorrow.

How is the printer vs your bambu? I've got a carbon and k2, I wish I wouldnt have bought the k2. Is It just like the bambu hit print and walk away?

What you say is all true, but my statement still stands. You can only pre-order some OEM parts for this printer, and most are not available. As for the hotend, repairs aside, if you want a 0.2mm or 0.6mm one you'll be sitting in the pre-order queue. I think it's a great printer for the money but 4-5 months after release we're still starved for parts. This won't matter for the occasional tinkerer, but for others it will.

The .2 is currently ready to ship (at least according to the website and I'm sure the rest will follow suit soon.

I also have the Centauri Carbon and a Bambu P1S. Both are excellent print quality and speed. For the price I would buy another CC in a heartbeat if I needed it.
The USB port on the front instead of a micro SD card is such a convenience.
The touch screen is flat out better in every way compared to the P1S (It feels like Bambu chose that interface to punish you for not upgrading to the X1C).
Both have an aggravating glass door that limits how far it can open (one of the first recommendations for 3D printing mods that allow the door to fully swing open).

I would recommend the Centauri Carbon to anyone over the Bambu in almost every instance (unless you need multi color RIGHT NOW, which I would argue most people don't NEED, it's just nice to have).

so what's your opinion on this in comparison to the flashforge ad5x
I would be interesting in everyone's feedback on this as well. I know the Flashforge has multicolor now, but once CC releases this I'm going to assume the CC is going to be the better machine.

I haven't even seen a multi-material system from Centauri yet.

The website mentions this is coming soon. I believe in Q3.

I ordered mine over the weekend, along with filament, plates, and a 0.2 hotend kit, and I've got tracking for all three shipments.
Looks like the other hotends are still a bit behind, with most shipping in September.
I've been wanting a legit printer for a while now, and have done a ton of research. Not sure you can get a better bang for your buck than with the CC.

If someone is 100% new to printing - is it worth it to get any of the combos or just the printer by itself? TIA

Night and day difference. Extremely faster and superb prints. I'll probably never turn my other printers on again.

Unless you want to pay once theres no major benefit to ordering combos at this time since the filament switching system isnt available yet. You can order filament elsewhere and have it waiting ready. I'd just get the printer personally.
