Not bad in some ways, lightweight, charges fast, pure sine wave, good price with the solar panels. main concern I have is the battery type, which may not last that long- https://www.edn.com/energizers-po...do-better/
Sounds like the same deal the author got in 2024, for a used set. The website doesn't clearly state it, other than saying 90 days warranty, so this is probably a refurb, and who knows how much battery life it has left. For a new one I'd probably have gone for it. For refurb, I'm gonna pass.

Lol @ original $1900.
They've got Americans figured out. How do we get them to buy a pack of bubble gum for $25? Just tell them it originally cost $1000 and they'll think they are getting a deal..and maybe price it at $1000 for a short period just so you can say it's so marked down.

Imagine being on an American deal website and complaining about… Americans. LOL.

Really not enough data to speculate too much. We need to know more about the battery chemistry. You might be familiar with volatile Cobalt cathode li-on batteries, but alternatively we typically use manganese cathodes for high current draw situations such as power tools. You can dead short one of these batteries and it should not explode or burst into flames, merely get to around 400 deg F and off gas. If you physically puncture one of these, that's quite different.
Of course there are always jokers selling used, mismatched/low quality cells, or maybe even the wrong chemistry for the job outright which might make the news with sensational fire stories.

I mean... you are not wrong. But this isn't a bad deal either with 200watt solar panels. I would still pass this since it's not a LiFePO4 battery.

I'm saying that sellers have realized how gullible many Americans are. They'll see "originally 1 million but now 100 dollars" and take it as a deal without doing any research.

You're right, this is a deal site and in my opinion this is not a deal. There are better options in a similar price range and I would advise anyone looking at buying one of these simply because "$1900", to research a bit more.

sorry for upsetting you.

I find this to be a really interesting power bank because it seems to be the successor to the original Bluetti EB240 power bank that was kind of the first power bank of its kind before these became household items. The color and design are the exact same. I kind of wonder if Energizer bought the rights to the company or design thinking it would be the next big thing and then sat on it while Chinese companies released copycat products that were just as good and cheaper.

It actually doesn't happen everywhere. There's countries that have laws in place to protect consumers against deceptive markdowns to increase sales. All of the EU is one example.

That's like saying advertising prescription medicines happens everywhere. No, it only happens in the US and one other country, New Zealand. Cope harder buddy.

Nobody's upset, I just think how funny it is that someone would be to be browsing an American shopping website and then dropping pointless America Bad takes. As an American the last thing I could think of doing with my time is going onto a foreign shopping website and complaining about the host country.
