I think this is last years model. The one here has speakers, last years does not. I jumped on this. I think it's a steal.

BTW The above review is for the 34" model

39" widescreen at 1440 is similar to 32" 16:9 1440. The PPI isn't ideal IMO.
Agreed. I have the 34" UW version of this… if this was 34" it'd still be a great price. The curve does not feel that aggressive at all on 34"

If you're doing sims racing or flight this may work, but for day to day productivity the PPI would not be a good experience especially if you like using smaller fonts.

Got this (or very similar model #) a few months ago for $750. The curve and relatively low PPI were a bit of an eyebrow raiser the first day or two, but by the end of the first week I didn't notice or care about either. Great monitor and this is a killer deal.

I've been trying to decide if I stick with the open box 42" LG C4 I bought last week or jump on one of these. I'd like the curve but heard the brightness isn't even close to the C4.

i moved from that alienware to this 39 inch and it has been my daily driver for about 6 months now.

i absolutely love this monitor. i had a 32 inch 1440p before the alienware and was missing that height. this gives me the 32 inch height but in 1440p ultrawide.

colour is good and accurate, the lg panel over the samsung panel takes some getting used to as this doesn't have the glossy and the colour and lighting feels more accurate but pops less than the alienware/samsung panel.

i like it so much i'm debating grabbing a second one just in case at this price and letting the SO use it just so i have a backup in the house.

You're way off. I'm entitled to return anything to Costco that meets their terms and conditions, especially if I'm not satisfied with it. I can guarantee you in several years, you won't be satisfied with current monitor tech when better stuff comes out.
You're abusing their generous return policy that is designed for people who are TRULY not satisfied.

New tech comes out all the time.. This isn't rent-a-center. Other people are subsidizing your clownish behavior when you abuse their return policies. Do you think you're a genius exploiting a loophole by doing this? Anyone can do it. Difference is, most people aren't assholes enough to do it.

If I buy a TV in 2020, I expect it to have modern tech for like 3-5 years. I wouldn't dare try and return it so I can get a new TV like it's a loan program.
I really hope Costco cracks down on people like you and start enforcing a Social Security number to be a member or something. Just flat-out ban you and let us normal shoppers keep in peace.

Do some research 800r is very aggressive curvature and meant for gaming, 1500-1800r is better for work.
Honestly, I don't like 800r even for gaming. It makes the monitor look smaller and you always notice the curve in game. It almost has a slight warping effect.

unreal deal. In for one.
Currently using the AW3423DWF which I've been using for 2+ years and loving. But after my recent move the magenta hue is way more obvious under my lighting condition so I've been thinking about swapping to an LG OLED. Perfect timing.

I am using the 45" version of the same monitor 45GS96QB since an year for Work+gaming, and Its absolutely fine for work. My eyes got used to it in a day and now it feels much better than a 32" flat panel monitor for my eyes.
