The $599 oled g91sd from Costco is better. Tho it's 144hz vs 240hz. But the hz doesn't make a huge difference when you consider the better picture quality of the g91sd—or really even if you don't.

If you are just wanting a really nice monitor I would go for the Alienware 32 inch. https://outlet.us.dell.com/GDOOnl...iXX0%3DThe pixel density is higher and it looks better for text and offers a bit more control over the colorspace settings.

I think the size matters more than the resolution if the main purpose is just for work not gaming.

Not in my experience with both of these monitors. Reading text is much nicer and easier on the Alienware. The extra resolution lets you use resolution scaling and still have effectively a 2k display.

Aren't you worried about burn in?

I'm leaning towards this one TBH since I'll be using it mainly for work. Don't wanna have to worry about a black background or hidden taskbar.

The OLED version is 1800R while this is 1000R.

240HZ is considerably smoother than 144HZ, but I'd be surprised if a majority of people would be able to tell the difference most of the time nor do most people have a gpu capable of pushing that out.

I have an older G9 VA with 1000R and and an LG 45" OLED with 800R, for me at the distance I sit from them, I prefer more curve. Plus, when I was considering a super ultrawide, I had looked at the other Samsung super ultrawide with 1800R and chose the 1000R.

If the Costco OLED had 1000R, whether 144Hz or 240Hz, I'd probably get it. OLED is awesome, but having an ideal viewing distance of just over 3ft compared to almost 6ft, eachbwould have to judge for themselves. I've used VR, maybe I'd easily adapt to moving my head to see the screen while sitting closer.

Depends what you're using it for. There's a reason manufacturers produce these curved monitors primarily in VA and NOT IPS. Check it out. OLED is another ball game but the IPS vs VA debate in curved monitors is wildly blown out of proportion.

Same...I deal with a lot of static windowed programs side by side and use PC 8+ hours a day so OLED isn't recommended (Unless you can replace it every 3 years after warranty ends or problems shows up)....

Really want the 49" VA miniLED but its no longer on sale and the 57" version is too big lmao...

Just know that 1000r curve of this is very aggresive so lines are not gonna be straight if that matters.

Seems like a lot of issues with the g9 then you have to deal with their garbage custommer support...
