This isn't a "brand" per se. This is a company that mashed the keyboard in order to speed up their ability to list on Amazon - basically, they want something guaranteed to make it through the trademark process. The actual product is a white label that has been purchased by a seller and dumped into an Amazon warehouse with little to no intermediate quality control.
The only difference between this and the identical product from Harbor Freight is that the HF has been touched by you BEFORE you purchase instead of after, and if it breaks you have a bit more recourse a bit closer to where you broke it.
That is of course referring to the cheaper HF brands. Their newer/more expensive ICON line is pretty solid.
TL;DR - if someone says this product is amazing and another person says it broke the first time, they are likely to both be telling the truth. Without QC, it's all luck of the draw.

Anyone want to comment on this product/brand name's reliability/accuracy? I know there have been plenty of discussions on whether or not to trust cheap brands (e.g., Harbor Freight), but haven't seen any about this one.

Probably isn't the greatest quality but definitely worth it for $20 to have a "beater" torque wrench I can put in the truck tool kit or do quick torque-downs that don't require my nicer split beam wrenches.

Looks like it has decent reviews too, thanks OP.

lol they add a calibration cert in the sales picture. I have all mine rechecked every year. They put a sticker on the tool with the calibration specs +/- then license of the person who calibrated the tool also the date it was calibrated. Now this tool is not serous like what I am talking about. But hey it's $20 not $400.

One opinion here but you're typically either going to use a wrench professionally in which case you're probably going to spend some decent money, or you're going to use it periodically for home use but on projects where accuracy matters. Given that those in the second category can probably buy one wrench and use it for their entire lifetime, and the difference between this brand and something with more of a reputation is maybe 20 to 30 bucks, this is probably not a place where the potential savings is worth the potential risk. Spend 40 to 50 bucks one time and use with confidence for a lifetime.

all these reviews are great, this is a budget wrench that is probably not worth it.

it would be nice if i could spend $20-40 more and get a that much better wrench

edit: just found this craftsman which was listed previously. at $65 is this a much better tool? https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...-10451-_-0

A good and relatively inexpensive tool brand for torque wrenches is Precision Instruments. They are professional level tools, made in the USA and known for being accurate and durable. They used to make the torque wrenches for Snap On for years. You can find a split beam non reversable (meaning the ratchet head will only tighten in the traditional direction, you cannot torque reverse thread bolts or nuts with these) 1/2 drive will run $210 ish 3/8 drive will run $180 ish. The 1/2 drive will max at 250 ft lb of torque the 3/8 drive will max out at 100 ft lb of torque.

edit: If you need a reversing head. There are these Proto torque wrenches. Made in the USA owned by MAC tools and by default Stanley Tools. $215

https://www.northerntool.com/prod...012c-95621

I have one of these but the MAC version as a backup to my normal set.

I have this version of the craftsman one ( purchased from AMZ ) and though it is better than the HF one, it is not even on par with the cheaper Tekton ones. I've the older Sears Craftsman ones - both 1/2 and 3/8 and they are my go to - solidly made and seem to hold the calibration for much longer periods.
