I have the 4080 legion and it's a BEAST, this is a fantastic laptop if you can afford to shell out some extra money

I'm buying a laptop for my daughter, who will be a freshman studying biomedical engineering. The university recommends a dedicated graphics card.

I'm trying to decide between the Aus ROG and the Lenovo Legion.

Any recommendations between these two models:

I'm a little concerned about some of the WiFi card issues for the Lenovo. After-sales service is also important.
Thank you.

Instant 5% off when using the microcenter credit card too, saving >$120 more on Legion. Hm.. Also law enforcement discount if you qualify.

Is the Asus 18" any good? Looks for the largest screen laptop, not much gaming. Maybe Roblox or Minecraft for the kids.

Anyone know if you buy a lenovo legion from microcenter, if you can still purchase a lenovo extended warranty with onsite repairs?

I purchased a Lenovo gaming laptop from Best Buy once and it let me add additional warranty on Lenovo's website. Can also call customer service provide the serial number and proof of purchase.

I messed with it in store, I mean it's a heavy monster of a machine physically, but it is built like a tank. Only laptop I've ever seen whose build quality seems higher than Legion Pros is the ASUS ROGs. Now if you were talking about the MSI Titan? Nope, garbage. Expensive, heavy, and yet somehow feels incredibly fragile.
