Idk is oris a "luxury brand"? I like the style and colors but 43mm seems large for most.

Is the name on the dial and high price what makes it luxury or is it quality? Oris is absolutely a luxury brand. No different from mass produced Rolex but 1/3 of the price.

Not sure I'd go quite that far, but it's a very decent quality lower-tier "luxury" brand. And more like 1/6 or 1/10 the price. If they'll even sell you the Rolex you want at an AD.

Ceramic bezel at this price looks absolutely yummy.

Caliber 733-1 [calibercorner.com]based on Sellita SW200-1, standard grade. Not a bad caliber, but not great. At this price, more than appropriate.

Awesome looking watch from great vendor.

Diving watch? Hard disagree....unless any watch that can survive 4 atmospheres is now a "diving watch"

Crappy hunk of metal that does what your phone does, only worse, and costs a bunch of money for no reason? Nails it.

1k for the Oris name may be well worth it if one likes the aesthetic. luxury is all about the name attached to it..
for 1k Christopher ward has divers for the same price using essentially the same movement and a few additional features. bigger selection to boot. good warranty as well.

You can't dive 30 atmosphere's. At 4-5 you're getting nitrogen narcosis.

I'm a PADI certified Rescue Diver. There are not a lot of divers that "dive better than me." This watch is useless as a dive watch. A 10 atmosphere rated Casio from 1990 has more useful features than this.

But do go ahead and let me know how you're going to retrieve a watch at 200'-1000' of depth that isn't prohibitively expensive.

Cool story bro. Everyone here just doesn't want water getting inside their watch. Enjoy your Casio
