Everyone can't afford to spend $350+ on a GPU!

Don't waste your money on this trash card. If you need a budget card just get the Intel Arc B580.

Meh, mostly true. However, this overstates your case. There is a price point where an 8gb GPU makes sense. This one is the best of the bunch for upgrading an older system not on pcie 5. I just think that price point is probably around $225 pre-tax $250 out the door. If you can afford it though get the 16gb if at all possible.

The 16 gb card of this is great. The 8gb is extremely compromised. While it does have a purpose still for budget gamers I think the price at $260 pre-tax is still too close to the 16gb good cards where you are better off saving even on a budget.

This is a great card if your budget is less than $300 or you don't play AAA games at 4k. I fall in that category. With my 1440p ips monitor from 2013. I play older, less demanding games, and they run just fine with 8gb. This is a great option for sure. This card is fast compared to other options in this price range, and drivers have been fantastic.

Always disappointed to see a Micro Center deal since we don't have them out in Arizona.....but that is changing soon with the announcement that one will be coming to Phoenix soon (2026?).

As long as you understand the severe limitations of only 8GB of VRAM in 2025 (youtube 8 GB of VRAM in 2025 basically, numerous videos showing limitations), this is a good price for the card. I still wouldnt buy one of these unless they were probably sub $250. The first time you load up a new game and it starts stuttering this year or next year even at just 1080p with moderate settings with one of these cards you will regret buying an 8GB card. More and more games coming out simply need more than 8 GB of VRAM to even run 1080p these days. You can get away with 1080p and even 1440p lower settings with a ton of games, but it only takes 1 game you wanna play where it will play like crap on a card like this and again, you'll regret getting something with only 8 GB of VRAM. I would highly highly recommend just getting a 12-16 GB card, its going to last you a lot longer and wont cause the occasional headache an 8 GB card will. If you cant afford a >$300 card, just get a used card with at least 10GB of RAM like an old 3080 which do exist around $300 you can occasionally find or even a cheaper 3060 12 GB. I would seriously consider a B580 as well. Basically there's a lot of cards around the same price with notably more VRAM I'd buy over one of these. I dont think these make any sense until they get under $250, and again still have their obvious limitation.

The problem isn't that it's a bad card. The problem is that it's overpriced even at $260. It should be $200-220 in today's gpu landscape. If you're cash-strapped to the extent that you can't afford an extra $100 for the 16gb, you're better off waiting for a good marketplace deal on a 3060, 6600xt, 6650xt, etc.

If you're doing a new build and on a strict budget, consider rejiggering some of your other components before settling for 8GB.

This is before you even mention the B580 driver issues. They'll figure it out but how long do you want to wait?
