This promotion will combine with a referral. The new account will get $10 in Tello dollars. The referral program has gotten worse for the referring account -- they don't get rewards until the 4th month. But for long-time Tello users, not really a big deal.

And since there was some user error in one of the last threads: in order to prevent an auto renewal, you need to CANCEL your plan. There is no way to just toggle autopay off or on. After canceling a plan, you still have access to the current month of service. And for this promotion, you would want to wait until the third month started to cancel if you don't want it to renew at $25.

I got this deal when it was posted ~1 month ago. After using for 1 month I will not be renewing. Not sure if it's something up with my phone, but this is absolutely the worst service I've used, and I come from some not spectacular MVNOs, like good2go mobile, mint, and red pocket.

Data frequently slows to a crawl despite being full bars on 5G on my oneplus 10t. I usually need to toggle airplane mode to get data to work. Thought it was APN settings at first, but put in the recommended APN settings and same thing happens.

I'll prob go back to mint with $15/month unlimited deal.

This is incorrect. The special is the first month is $10 for unlimited talk/text and 5 GB data. Then it's $14 after that. You have to click on the banner at the top.

There are two current specials going on right now, both expire Aug 11: one on the 5GB plan and the other on the unlimited. On the plans page, if you scroll across the top to change the amount of data to unlimited, you will see the second special.

Just renewed my infimoblie 10gb per month service for $99 for the year.. comes out to less than $10 a month with tax included. Their app is garbage but totally worth it once your activated.

I have Tello and like it. Less than $10/month for 2GB, 100 min, free text. Worked great to keep and use my US number while overseas on cell data from another esim and Wi-Fi with no roaming fees.

That's the main use for Tello, lol. Cheap service to generate a number or park one for future porting.

Yes, that was a great deal... from last year. So unless you have a time machine, it's really not helpful/relevant.

On the other hand, if anyone is considering this tello deal from the op, but wants a longer term plan, you might as well get the mint Mobile deal for 1 year of service for $180 plus tax. Pretty much the same as tello, but with more hotspot data. Both tello and mint run on the T-Mobile network and both offer the same level of deprioritized data service.

Tello has been great for me. Maybe not the fastest but stable connections (Chicago suburbs), free calls to most of the countries but also good customer service and what i think it's critical: Easy to port out, which is not given these days. I just ported out of wife out of H2O and that was tricky.
