Just query rechargeable lithium AA on Amazon.
I put these in my Blink doorbell on June 13th and they're still going strong without needing charged and no low battery notifications. I average over 50 10 second recordings per day so I'm happy. I was going to go broke feeding these disposables to it.
Rechargeable AA Lithium Batteries... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSL35...b_ap_
I bought some regular alkaline batteries for my smart front door lock but they lasted about 45 days.
the Energizer lithium batteries can last me 6+ months. feels like closer to a year. long enough for me to lose track.
not having to worry about recharging the batteries is why i stuck to the Energizer batteries.
rechargable lithium batteries drain too fast to last months and it's still not a true 1.5v battery. it needs something to convert the voltage down to 1.5 which means it's going discharge even faster.
I personally like these batteries because i don't even have to worry about the battery life for months.
so $16 to replace the batteries every 6+ months
or
recharge batteries every 1.5 months. plus lots of comments online say they die pretty quickly. although for 15 bucks i might buy some just for the random electronics that do need 1.5v batteries. unfortunately i have a few devices that need 1.5v AA batteries. bought new 1.2v rechargable batteries but the devices still wont turn on.
All the other alkaline batteries leak, Duracell, Kirkland, Rayovac, Energizer etc. I've had them all leak, some while still new in the package. Never had a single lithium or eneloop leak. Tried the amazon brand rechargeable version, junk, just buy the eneloops.
Only downside is the AAA's are not on sale.

As for rechargeable lithium AA: in my experience, and as others posted here, they don't last long between charges, and YMMV with some of the obscure brands out there. Most will be 4.2v cells with a buck converter to bring the voltage down to 1.5, and that process consumes energy...plus they can get quite hot with higher loads. They weren't my fave.

Unfortunately I was only getting about a month out of the Energizers in my doorbell and I wasn't finding deals like this one to replace them. So far these rechargeables have lasted longer and still no low battery alert. Only time will tell if they will last.
Either way I'm glad I got them because I've got a Kitchen Mama side cutter can opener that I open dog food with. I love that thing but it was going through batteries even faster than the Blink doorbell. I open 10-12 large cans of dog food daily and the rechargeable lithiums make that thing spin fast and they last in it which saves me time and money.
We run a dog rescue.
