A common point of failure with these is audio. After a while the captured media will have audio that is just noise. Do a quick search on Reddit.

I own this. Just make sure you don't have a poster or picture of a face on your wall or it'll nonstop misidentify it as a human 🤣

The face in my wall is pretty good at just saying a few evil things then going back to whence it came.

That is the first time I have heard of that issue. I haven't looked it up because my 8 have fortunately not had any issues over the past 4 years. I keep 1 in the garage and 3 outside under overhangs. Good to know if it does happen to any of mine.

True on the audio. I have the stationary cameras and the audio no longer works but I've also had them for several years now. I would buy again.

I have several, they work pretty well. Some have failed over the years. Had to keep resetting them. Some had issues with SD cards after some years of use. All in all they are a nice camera for this price! Definitely recommend Eufy cameras

Yep this happened to one of the two of mine. The other is still working fine though.

Love the 6 I have around my home. Only cameras at this price point that support Apple's HomeKit. Once paired, they've given me zero issues over the years, and it's pretty convenient for my wife and I to be able to check on our kids/pets while out.

I've had two with the audio issue. I have this one and it does not auto switch to or from night vision.
Also experiencing issues with battery drain on Android, cameras constantly going offline and when you get an alert, it takes forever to load the recording.
All of these issues started happening after their big update.

Hey folks, quick question for anyone who owns 4, 5, or 6 of these Eufy cams — what memory cards are you using?I love that these cameras are a solid deal and don't need a subscription, which keeps things affordable. But the microSD cards that are rated for constant looping/rewriting (like the ones they recommend) haven't really been on sale lately.I snagged a Samsung Pro Endurance 128GB for $15 last year, and I haven't seen it drop that low again. Anyone found other good, reliable alternatives that hold up well with these cameras?

I also use Samsung pro endurance 128gb on two of my cameras and never experienced an issue. I ordered a dash cam lately and in the market for another endurance as card and yes they are not on sale. I'll stick with the Samsung one though even if I have to pay the full price.

I've had one of these running for a few years. Does what it's supposed to do, and functions within HomeKit without HA or equivalent. For the price, that's hard to find.

I've had a half dozen "regular" microSD cards (Micro Center, Samsung, etc) go strong for 4-5 years, and a few that died. I actually don't think the cards die so much as they start losing storage due to age and use of the flash memory and the camera doesn't adjust to the reduced size and then the file system gets corrupted. Often I've been able to keep a card going by reformatting before it gets corrupted.
