Good deal, I got this on a price mistake through AAFES (military) for $799 last year before Christmas. My son has been using it for gaming and it's pretty sweet. sound isn't bad and picture awesome.

It is "sold out" at my two nearby Micro Centers, but perhaps we can use this to price match at other stores like Best Buy.

I buy as much useless tech as the next guy but what's the point? If you want curved then buy a curved one? Do you really plan on switching from flat for the web or spreadsheets (both which work fine curved) into cockpit for an F1 game? Help me understand please ...

It's nice to use up close with a curve for desktop use, but flatten it to sit back on the couch/bed to watch a movie. I see the use case.

you try sitting in front of a 42" panel that doesn't curve. you cant see the icons in the edges. curved displays are the only way a 42" screen can be comfortably used

I use a 55" OLED as a monitor but it's maybe 6 ft away from me up on a wall.

Pixel layout is different + firmware is tweaked differently for a monitor. For example, when source is disconnected monitor goes to sleep.
