I see nothing on a warranty. Nothing.
The 90-day return window is NOT a warranty.
No warranty = waste of money.

I don't really see how a warranty will work unless it has a nationwide dealer network. Even if they staff a US-based service center, it will still cost way too much to ship a broken bike with a potentially hazardous lithium battery.

If you have $400 to wipe on, go for it. Even if the bike is made in China, you NEED a warranty honored by a North American entity. If they fail to give support, you have legal standing to do a charge back or open a dispute. Sure it's a hassle, but you aren't stuck with a $400 trip to the dump.
Nothing Karen about that, my friend. Just common sense.

You are expecting to much for dollar spent. Why would you even look at ebike at this price point of you want all that. You are going to have to pay $2000 or up to get it. You ignore the low price like it is not a consideration and only advise to shop for support. That my be great of you have plenty of funds but in my life money always must be calculated into any decision.. I did not buy used cars with absolutely no warranty yet i was willing and ready to take the risk as the financial equation may have dictated it.
If you are that timid an fearful and have no ability to maybe resolve a problem or replace a part on you own you can buy a china bike from a US dealer that may offer real warranty but you will probably be paying $2000-$3000 for the same style bike and it might still be made in the same china factory. That also involves risk as i have to get my @ss out the door and make up that lost money.
At the price here these are not much off what I china ten speed costs at Walmart some years back and you have to take that savings into account. If I get a year or two out of an Ebike from China at this cost it is a win. I'm two years in with mine now and am happy and paid $700 for mine.
Yes proprietary parts can shut you down but controllers, tires, brakes etc can be self replaced. I never needed support or warranty for a bike in my life and these being cheaper than some regular bikes I had I do not feel to terrified. It can almost be considered a consumable product at the price and still be a value. $400/12 get me at $33 a month and that seems reasonable if I get a year of use and gets better going forward.
All that being said if you are going to depend on bike for commuting or work it may be wise to get something with more support but sometimes gambles pay off. My only regret is I did not pick my generics up at the lower prices that are popping up lately

You do take risk at this price point but it does not have to be a wipe. I have three China cheap ebikes that came with no support and no one is a wipe. I am fine a year in on one and two on the other two. I do not and did not need North American support. I could have paid for that for the luxury but chose not to for various reasons with one being the extra thousand or two it would cost. I got no support when I purchased my house, cars, hot water heater, mini split or many other various things I buy.
I have and have managed well in life financially. If anything I see those that pay dearly for unnecessary safety and security often in financial difficulty. I could five of these for the price of one bike with support and it ends up about the same financially. I often take gambles like that and most all have paid of.
After some short years you to are going to have a bike with no support and parts may not be available as models will change. Support is seldom my primary concern. it may be for you but common sense tells me it often costs way to much. If you buy $2000 ebike with support you may be paying $1500 for the support you feel you require and may never even use. It is no more common sense than paying insurance on a washing machine or refrigerator. The money spent is wasted and could be placed into a fund that would replace th the $500 bike and you could have five for the cost you paid for one.You are shopping for safety and security which is shopping for insurance, other people are shopping for value.
