I used to buy small, inexpensive items from AliExpress without much thought; if they didn't work, I'd just toss them. However, my first significant purchase—a concrete cutting saw last year—turned into a frustrating experience. Despite the description, specifications, and pictures all showing a 12-inch saw, I received a tiny 6-inch one. When I contacted customer service, they bafflingly told me I needed to select the size using the "COLOR" button, a design choice that felt intentionally misleading. After I returned the item, my refund was incomplete; about 30% of it came back as a coupon instead of cash, which I found unacceptable. Because of this, I haven't bought anything from AliExpress since.

I bought a Jetson Ebike from Costco a few years back. Recently the charger stopped working. Jetson won't respond to calls, voicemails, texts. Not even an acknowledgement. On their website there's many people complaining about the same problem and Jetson hasn't had the charger in stock for well over a year. Costco won't do anything either. Warranty doesn't always help. I have a perfectly good Ebike I can't ride

I have three generic china e-bikes and they have not been a waste of money. I went in knowing there was some risk but if they would have arrived non working a CC dispute would resolve any issues.

You are expecting to much for dollar spent. Why would you even look at ebike at this price point of you want all that. You are going to have to pay $2000 or up to get it. You ignore the low price like it is not a consideration and only advise to shop for support. That my be great of you have plenty of funds but in my life money always must be calculated into any decision.. I did not buy used cars with absolutely no warranty yet i was willing and ready to take the risk as the financial equation may have dictated it.

If you are that timid an fearful and have no ability to maybe resolve a problem or replace a part on you own you can buy a china bike from a US dealer that may offer real warranty but you will probably be paying $2000-$3000 for the same style bike and it might still be made in the same china factory. That also involves risk as i have to get my @ss out the door and make up that lost money.

At the price here these are not much off what I china ten speed costs at Walmart some years back and you have to take that savings into account. If I get a year or two out of an Ebike from China at this cost it is a win. I'm two years in with mine now and am happy and paid $700 for mine.

Yes proprietary parts can shut you down but controllers, tires, brakes etc can be self replaced. I never needed support or warranty for a bike in my life and these being cheaper than some regular bikes I had I do not feel to terrified. It can almost be considered a consumable product at the price and still be a value. $400/12 get me at $33 a month and that seems reasonable if I get a year of use and gets better going forward.

All that being said if you are going to depend on bike for commuting or work it may be wise to get something with more support but sometimes gambles pay off. My only regret is I did not pick my generics up at the lower prices that are popping up lately

Another AliExpress post... I see nothing on a warranty. Nothing. The 90-day return window is NOT a warranty. No warranty = waste of money.
You're blind. It's at the bottom of the description section. 1 year.

I would just claim a dead battery in first week. Dead motor at day 40. Broken tire rim at day 60 and controller at day 80.

This is already sketchy enough as it is. Their website is completely unfinished. It's almost all sample text.https://urlifebike.com/products/u...ctric-bike

You're very skilled at fixing things and therefore will take risks. That's fortunate. However I'm not and I don't want to spend the time learning how to fix these things. I can replace brakes and tires, but don't want to do anything else in electrical work. Wish we lived close to each other.
I have had the bikes two years and don't ride that much but no repairs have been necessary as of yet.

As to not wanting to learn I guess you will just have to pay the piper and a hefty price for that through all of your life.

BTW I was not given some "skill" gift and was not born with skill. I put the effort in ot learning how to do stuff and am glad I did. I estimate it has saved me $350,000 or maybe significantly more over my lifetime and has also assured I can have income. It opens up more job opportunities

It made me more valuable to myself and to others.. I don't have to sit around and wait for others and than pay them want more money than need be.I can bargain better as I know how much work, material and time it takes to fix something. When I do hire out I am pretty sure not to get ripped off as I see many people do as they know nothing about what is supposed to be done. would you believe $300 in labor for door lockset that takes about three minutes to install,

it is very empowering and liberating if you use your god given ability to learn how to do things.

I just don't see what it is gained or the value in turning up your nose to fixing things you could do yourself and always having to rely on others that are looking out for their own gain.

These have 0 liability in case your house catches fire and burns to the ground. Good luck dealing with your insurance when they'll see this thing isn't UL certified product that caused complete loss.
That is myth. Insurance will pay the claim

The big automakers withallthecartfcations are also burning houses dowe and even container ships.

You stoke fear to much to to make any rational decisions and I advise everyone to discount your fear mongering.

Yes there is risk but at may age I probably have more risk of breaking my neck. Automobiles are one of the most deadly things and I sure you jump in them happily. You don't just get the risk of accident you get the risk of electrical fires and gas explosions.

People are complaining about "warranty." C'mon, dude! It's a $300 E-Bike, a good set of tires costs $200. What are you complaining about? That's literally to use until it falls off, then toss it away. Perfect for kids or light use. Yiy got what you are paying for, a disposable e-bike that, with lucky, will last 3-4 thousand miles.
