I've got way more games on Epic these days. And I'd rather give more money to the developers than Steam does

Meh, it's just a launcher. Less time I spend in it the better. Valve make wayyyyy too much money and we all pay for that in the end.

I just like having a good overlay, fps counter, good integration with friends list so inviting is easier, good notifications, an actual profile you can view so you can see and compare amount of hours of other players. There is a nice recording feature similar to Nvidia Shadowplay, but also lets you easily share clips. The sales are generally really good and they don't do any stupid "Steam exclusivity" deals with games like Epic does. Valve is also known for being a great company to work for, and I like funding a company that seems to actually care about its consumers AND its workers.
On top of that... the way Epic Games downloads work is stupid. It takes significantly longer than it has to, since they download and install/unzip the game simultaneously. So I don't even get the full benefits of my network speed.
Also, Tencent owns 40% of Epic. Ew

I use the Nvidia overlays myself and Steam do plenty of exclusives.
I mean, I run both, but I personally think the days of ~30% cuts for a launcher and a bit of payment processing should end. Not just for Steam, but Apple, et al. We pay for it in the end. I've personally started to by from the devs directly if possible, especially for Indy games. GOG I support because you get the actual installer.
Valve is one of the most profitable companies in history on a per employee basis. Just below Tether and OnlyFans. If they set it to like 15%, then I'd definitely prefer Steam over Epic for the tencent ownership. But honestly, we need the competition and it takes deep pockets to take on Steam.
