Go to the Costco app and choose the same day delivery option from the menu. Search for JBL and see if you can find it for just over $200. That would mean that it's around $200 and the extra money is what you'd be paying to instacart. It worked for my warehouse.
Open Costco app.
Click warehouse icon near the bottom right.
Select your store if it isn't already selected.
Search with the search bar in this part of the app using keywords or item numbers.
I got a big middle finger for the person that bought all of them at the North Fayette, PA Costco and signed up for a Costco membership just to get them, all I wanted was one and no I won't buy one off of you for your resell price!
Ty op ! There was 9 of them there , I bought them all . After tax and membership I'm into them 220$ a pc . I listed 300$ . I have a feeling 1 or 2 of them will go to a freind a bit cheaper than 3 but , plenty to go around at the moment .
Hopefully these drop elsewhere and you're stuck with seven speakers
Yes, they were available last night, that is my Costco. I'm glad they're gone. It prevented me from buying one. Doesn't look like there's anything close except low stock in Naperville, which I don't consider close.
Obcalles this morning at 10 and was also told thay had 8,. Just got off work and was about to go, thanks for posting and saving Mr hr long trip
That all happens automatically when you open the app, so who cares? We're not talking about hacking in a third-party firmware, here - Oluv's settings are included in the official firmware.
just requires firmware install, but that is more than opening the box and using the unit. I think the phrase the unit requires tweaking is just fine for such requirements. Not like I said it required Draconin effort. I said it required tweaking to get the best sound of of it and it does.
I would suggest anyone who wants a Earfun Boom X or a second unit to pair that you buy it sooner versus later as it is believed to be out of product due to slow sales.

Yes, there is a custom firmware available, but once again, no, you do NOT have to install that custom firmware to get Oluv's settings. The stock firmware when you take it out of the box includes them. All you have to do is open the app and pick the one you want.

Oluv changed the settings. The settings in the stock firmware are different then what the production model needs to meet listening goals. My statement states to get the best out of the unit you need to tweak it. I consider adding custom firmware to a unit to get the most out of it tweaking. This assumes Oluv's settings are superior to all of the other presets. I consider having to change any devices default EQ to your personal sound preferences tweaking.(not preset but manually changing each frequency range) Presets I don't normally consider tweaking, but I do prefer units which are closer to my preferences out of the box.
Glad you like the unit, but I still consider it requires tweaks to get the best out of it. I don't consider a unit requiring tweaking a bad thing, it is a warning to be patient with the unit. Other units have various issues as well. Some units require breaking in to reach the optimal sound experience.
The boom X default settings are ok at best. Anyways the unit is out of production due to poor sales. It is also a frequently returned item, but I think that is a general bluetooth speaker issue as people want to try them at home and compare multiple units and keep only the best one.
Does anyone have a hack or a tweak or a way to connect this WiFi boombox to the older speakers? I got this and the original bb3 I was really hoping to pair them for stereo sound. It's very disappointing you can't stock out the box or if you can I have not figured it out yet. I tried contacting JBL customer service and it seemed like a rat race, they connect you to one department to another than tell you we need your email so someone in the near future will contact you.

I tried this at least in Orange County and in parts of Riverside. Instalation says each one are out of stock. My guess then this $200.00 is no longer available at least at these stores.

I don't know any method to allow it to work reasonably with software only. I am not sure why they all don't work well with partyboost even if some models are wifi. (apparently they removed the AUX port on the Wifi model)
Maybe a chromecast or airplay device on the boombox 3 would work? the problem would be figuring a way to make it work in stereo. You could get both to play but not separate left and right tracks to my knowledge.
I would likely just buy either a boombox 3 or boombox 3 wifi and sell/gift the model that doesn't pair. (would be pretty easy to do if you get the costco deal) It would be wonderful if JBL focused more on the pairing ability and allowed a little more crossover. Wifi and regular models it would be nice if they worked in pairing situations.(even if they have to eq them a bit to balance them out) Maybe making it a little easier for people with various setups. Example boombox 3 and two charge speakers.
Future models are moving towards auracast which would almost fix the issue. The problem is newer models are auracast only. Xtreme 4 is both partyboost and auracast.
