FYI, this SHOULD be hackable IN STORE ONLY...

If not too far out of the way go to the store and ring it up at the register, if they show SEPARATE prices for each item that indicates you can return each item individually. If it were to show up as $299 batteries and the free tools (same as it does online), it's NOT hackable and you could just tell them you changed your mind.

This shows as $279 now.

But $10 shipping if one of your tools is not available for pickup. If I add the SDS hammer drill, the shipping goes up to $79!

Due to a lot of abuse, most stores have stopped doing this, and even have gone against corporate policy. Used to be, you'd get a prorated refund based on the value of the item returned, but now many will only accept return of the entire purchase.

Same happened to me last week with the shipping price nonsense . Associate claimed they dont have batteries in stock so i need to make an order online but order was $79 for delivery so i went back to the store and asked for manager because website showed 4 sets of batteries/charger in stock.
Manager came and we found them batteries. I ended up getting cut off 3 inch tool and and 6 1/2 inch brushless circular saw.
I did exact same thing back in may but then i got router and jigsaw (priced at over $200 each).
