To each their own, but I've found as more places are charging 3-5% credit card fee that it's worth it to start carrying cash again. It also sidesteps aggressive tipping options on tablets.

I feel like one of these would fall out of my back pocket and I wouldn't even notice.

I rarely use cash but people with 3d printers can print hollow cards and keep some cash inside. I will try it.

Get this if you like the functionality or appearance, but don't get it for RFID protection. RFID blocking is a solution in search of a problem. The ability to steal your info with an hidden portable scanner is a myth. It's never happened and won't happen with foreseeable technology.

The simple fact is that your credit card has to send data back to the RFID reader but your card only has the power to transmit 1-4cm. That limit was specifically designed to prevent illegal scanning. And that's assuming perfect conditions where both your card and the scanner are perfectly still for a few seconds, with the scanner perfectly on top of the chip. Not going to happen. Thieves can improve their scanners all they want, but it's the chip that matters and that's designed by your credit card company.

If you're really paranoid about it, the simplest solution is to line the compartment carrying your credit card with a sheet of aluminum foil. For wallets, just place a sheet of foil in the main cash compartment. When you fold your wallet, the card will be shielded. Takes only a few seconds and you've just made your wallet or bag RFID-blocking. If you don't believe me, wrap your credit card with foil then tap on an RFID reader to pay. It won't work.

Here's an excellent Q&A on the topic in the RFID Journal. It's where experts discuss RFID technology

I'm in for one. I've been using the nomatic wallet for about 7 or 8 years. Guess we'll see how this does. hard to beat the price.
Switched from one of these to Nomatic a few years back. While this style is nice, if it's minimalist you're looking for, the Nomatic is the answer.Edit: For this price, is worth a try though.

I'm from the 1900's, and as skeptical I was about these types of not what my dad had wallets (the slide out ones like this, the one with two pieces of metal with an elastic holding them together ("Ridge" brand), the ones with ultra thin materials (got a Tyvek type of wallet)) I very likely won't go back to a bifold or trifold in the back packet type of wallet made out of thick leather that will last a long time.

How many places have you seen charge said fee that wasn't a small mom and pop shop? I hate carrying cash.

I carry a wallet like this in the front to not sit on the wallet anymore.

I mean, to be fair I live in a city, so most places are naturally smaller. I'd say every deli, pizza or burger place, barber, etc I've been to recently does it. Yeah, I guess chain restaurants or stores don't. But again, if you hate carrying cash, I don't mean to sway you, it looks like a nice wallet. I was just being a data point myself and maybe reassuring anyone who felt like me.
I used to have a metal wallet like this one before I felt limited by it. I wound up getting this one on sale https://www.amazon.com/XENLYN-GEA...B0D2L2JPD5 . It's also minimalist, but it can fit some cash as well, and also personally, I found the cloth to be more comfortable in my pocket than metal.
