- auto grinds
- scale to weigh the grinds
- it's almost automatic with enough options to allow you to make your own adjustments
I bought one of these, trying to get away from the Keurig. Wanted something quick and easy, but fresh. After trying it for a week, as easy and user friendly as this was compared to other espresso machines, I returned it. Wasn't a fan of adding and removing different trays, for different drinks, tamping, adjusting grind settings.
I decided to go the Super auto route with a Philips 3200 (previous front page deal). Much more convenient while sacrificing more of an actual espresso experience.
Ninja has since come out with a newer pro version which has a built in tamper and a few added features. I Would recommend checking that out if you're lazy like me.

I've had a Philips super auto for a few years now. The biggest ick thing for me is it that is grows mold very easily. Like if you don't rinse the brew unit atleast twice a week you're going to get mold in there. Also I'm pretty sure you're supposed to remove the part where the espresso comes out and clean it but I haven't figured out how to remove that.
Please read the manual—or better yet, watch a video—on how to properly clean your Philips espresso machine. Mold can develop because moisture gets trapped inside for extended periods, sometimes for two weeks or more. So check out the video, give it a thorough cleaning, and stay healthy, my friend.

Got this same unit (new) from the Costco deal and so far we love it. First espresso machine for us so not much to compare it to but its simple enough we were able to start making good coffee right off the rip. Only annoying part for me is I usually do espresso but the wife likes the iced coffee and the grind settings for those two are opposite ends of the spectrum so we are swapping back and forth pretty frequently. Other than that its really easy to use and so far with just basic rinsing its been really easy to keep clean too.

Yea I definitely try to stay on top of the cleaning but for example forgetting to clean it before vacation or not cleaning it 2x a week and mold definitely forms
