Definitely don't be wearing 100% poly garments unless you need for specific athletic sessions or something. Athletic wear isn't necessarily poison, but the rate at which its peddled along with its embellished importance is overstated by manufacturers.
It's more advantageous for the brands like UA or Adidas to have you be fixated on their trendy recycled plastic stuff than it is for you to get breathable hybrids with synthetic tencel, lyocell, rayon, or the like.

I am. Wool socks are great!
