I've had one of these for awhile now. It leaks oil a bit so be careful where you store it. It's also very heavy which is usually a good thing for Dewalt tools but can make this very unwieldy while it's extended and it can extend pretty far. So just be careful.

Big Dewalt fan here. Needed to buy a pole saw to trim some trees around the house. Ended up getting a HF pole saw for half the price and buying a battery adapter on Amazon. Has worked really well for me. Just a suggestion for those like myself who are going to use this a few times a year.

This one doesn't come with a battery and charger. Not a good deal.

I bought one recently near full price when I needed it and it has been good. It does leak oil if the reservoir is not near empty when storing. (The manual actually tells you to empty before storing.) But you can hang it with the oil nozzle up and avoid leakage. It does have good cutting power and reach. Some complain about the pole connection wobbling, but they do so in a limited controlled manner.

Thanks for sharing the hanging storage tip, I was surprised the manual said to drain the oil after use. I'll give hanging a try. I also have a hand held Dewalt 20v chainsaw and if I store it bar side down it is fine, but otherwise it leaks and makes a mess.

Got one planning on also adding the hedge trimmer tool to have a longer reach hedge trimmer ( real goal). Found via Home Depot that my local electric co-op is offering $25 rebate so there is that. Then I had a $20 off 100 ACE coupon but alas excluded trimmers. Win some lose some. Now to search for the hedge trimmer head.
