This was listed a couple of weeks ago, and I grabbed it for $18 during the sale.
I'm not sure why they're making these slings with **thick back padding**, especially when the purpose is clearly for **light, quick-use carry**—not to replace a full-sized backpack where padding actually makes sense.
The **material is also unnecessarily thick**, making the bag bulkier than it needs to be. When empty, it folds to about the size of a stuffed fanny pack—**still bulky** compared to more thoughtfully designed slings.
I own an Eddie Bauer sling made from **ultra-thin parachute-like material**—still sturdy, featherlight, and much more **packable**. It fits nearly the same amount, yet folds into a small pouch you can stash easily inside another bag.
This one feels like it's designed more for **visual appeal or market variety** than actual **practical use**. The excessive padding serves no real purpose—you're not carrying bricks; a phone and wallet won't hurt your back. This just adds bulk and gets in the way of what should be a minimalist grab-and-go sling.
