The weight makes it "beefy", it's a 6.1 oz tee. Their standard tees are around 5 oz
That said, I just ordered a couple of these (no pocket) because they're V-neck and only $3. Less than half cotton, but reviews are very good and one reviewer said they are longer than most. I have W+, so easy to return if I don't like them. I live in a warm climate so I wear a lot of t-shirts.
