No idea why you were downvoted, this is 100% true. I personally found this out a few weeks ago — the pen wasn't very old, maybe a couple years, and it smelled like complete ass.

They probably do, but a coworker had one that she claimed was nearly 10 years old a few years back, and it worked like a charm when I used it to clean some spilled coffee. I have some that are several years old as well and still work well...
