As a niche product it still shouldn't cost this much. Even another 50% off at $400 it's not a deal. A reasonable price should be about $300.

I have this (600 BB a while back) and it's totally worth it for that price. People saying 300 are delusional.

What do you use it for?

I have a 27" 1080p BenQ VA panel monitor bought from BestBuy in 2017 for $180 new. While this has touch function, I never liked to touch my screen or camera lenses.

So other than HDMI input, I see no option to use this as a wired touchscreen. Seems instead the LG screen is basically limited to wireless streaming / mirroring (AirPlay 2). The LG devices (the stand and suitcase model) are novel, but are fundamentally highly niche, smart-ish displays... lacking a wired fallback to use the touch functionality makes them, in the long term, overpriced dumb displays. They could be so much more.

For $800 you can get the HP Envy Move direct from HP... and that thing is a complete PC(!):

Running Windows is a lot more overhead than anyone needs for watching movies in the tub, but beyond value for money there's also a much longer term functionality that a PC should provide for streaming, etc. vs. any smart display.

Good luck!
Jon

Why not get a TV or a monitor and a stand? They can be a lot bigger as well. For work I mirror my computer to the screen as extra. As a streamer….shop smarter not harder.

Not even Android; rather, LG's webOS.

Good luck!

Is this just for business uses like presentations dynamic signage? What do people use this for at home?
