Yep, I think if they're similar to the ones that Ziploc used to make and I've also used before, they're a different type of plastic than trash bags. It's thicker and more rigid than the crinkly plastic bag plastic that the blue trash bags use. However, I wouldn't necessarily put a ton of stuff in them -- I've had a few of the giant Ziploc bags rip at the seams.
