I just went to Puerto Rico and it was full of "gringos" and I asked how was the experience and they all said I love it. I'm sorry you didn't have the best experience but I'm pretty sure it's not directed to tourist. Gringo go home is problably directed to people from the US who take peoples homes and buy properties in Puerto Rico to evade taxes.

i would not recommend going to porto rico. Last time I went there were signs everywhere saying gringo go home. I felt very unsafe.

just a note, if you have a united explorer card and book basic economy, you still get a free checked back and a carry on bag.

I saw some of those in St Louis, too. Except "gringo" is a little too polite.

In Puerto Rico, the best way to make friends is by throwing paper towel rolls at people. Leading by example.

Just tell them how does it feel to have a voice in our government, nerds!

I missed the signs, what area of St. Louis do you see them?

Still safer in Puerto Rico than in St. Louis. I'll take my chances.

$205 seems like a very small price to pay to get out of St. Louis. And you might even be able to recoup some of the cost by reselling the return ticket, but finding a buyer that voluntarily wants to go to St. Louis could prove difficult.

That sounds like an awesome benefit of The American Dream to me and a great problem to have. They could write my exact government name on signs and call me whatever they want in exchange for property in Puerto Rico and a strategy to minimize the greedy IRS' legalized annual shakedown and theft from hard working Americans. Why are people so hateful to more successful people? Probably because they thought of these great ideas first and actually followed through instead of doing nothing and whining when someone else actually takes initiative to do something besides collect taxpayer money.

Then it's a good thing that this deal is for visiting Puerto Rico.

For those who have not been to San Juan, it is not a cheap place to visit. Food and hotel are quite expensive. Fun place, but not an inexpensive vacation spot.

I haven't compared the crime statistics of stl and Puerto Rico so I know better than to comment. St. Louis like any other large city has certain areas to avoid but many places to enjoy and things to do.
