Dec - Feb is a great time to go (if the flight ticket prices are right) because the weather there is about as mild as it's going to be with 90F and 70% humidity.

Curious about this! I have an event in Hong Kong on Dec 4th-5th and this seems like an affordable way to visit friends in Manila and tag on HK. Having not traveled to Asia a whole lot, what is the ideal day of the week to dept/return to make the most of it? Thx!

That makes no sense outside of trying to time your trip with the weekends to maximize vacation time, which makes days like Friday more expensive. If you're a leisure traveler and don't have have a specific schedule why would it matter, especially if going for a while.
