I've had this model before and it's very cheaply made. Water constantly leaks out the bottom, the heating element doesn't warm the iron evenly, and it isn't capable of regulating the temperature consistently. I believe the bimetallic element in my unit corroded and failed after 1 year.
After trying out several irons recently, I have to say that this is the best I've seen at any price point right now.
I had a digital advantage before this but the auto shutoff kept turning off even while I was using so I threw it into the garbage and ordered the highest end Black and Decker on Amazon (I think it was the Alure professional). It was terrible. Way too heavy and the cord kept rubbing my wrist. I'm a 40 year old fit male but it was a workout and kind of painful to iron with it so I sent it back. I then tried a few of the other slightly cheaper black and deckers and either they had cords that draped over my wrist that was annoying, or they were heavy, or they had features that were broken straight out of the box and didn't work (steam button not working, spray button not working).
I finally bought this Easy Steam iron and it way WAY better than any of the others. Considering how much money my wife and I have it felt weird to buy the cheapest black and decker iron but this was the only current iron I've liked. The best thing about it is the groove where the cord pivots so that the cord doesn't rub across your wrist when using it. I have no clue way the cheapest option has this but none of the more expensive models do but I'll take it. The only drawbacks I've experienced are: it is super light so it is very easy to use but that also makes it feel cheap at the same time and the iron gets hotter than my previous digital advantage. I used to just turn the old iron on it's highest steam setting and iron everything on it but I can't do that with this iron. If you don't use the proper clothing settings you will melt/destroy anything poly/rayon/spandex.
