I have the lower spec'd version of this guy (Ryzen 365). Very capable machine. I don't game on it, but for photography and writing code, it does what I need. Wish it had a usb-c port on the opposite side.

I have this laptop. The least stable laptop I have ever owned.
It used to go blue screen very often, but it got better with recent updates. But the other day it did a showstopper. It started showing an error message "This BIOS is not for production use. This BIOS is test signed" with an infinite loop. And magically came back a day later.
HP support center didn't really help. They merely suggest "restart your computer" level suggestions. And that is only when you can pass the AI voice automation.
Maybe I have a lemon unit. You can order and return if you see red flags. But HP has restocking fee for returns.
Very cool to see 32gb RAM and near top-tier Ryzen AI for $1200. 1440p is a great resolution for a small laptop -- tight enough pixel density to look great to the naked eye, but not so overly dense as to unnesessarily over-burden the Radeon 890m, which could easily run many games at 4k res anyways. Bonus points for upward facing speakers, which can be rare at this pricepoint. After seeing one of these in person, the screen door effect from the touch display is very minimal, probably not noticeable at all for most. This laptop has awesome overall build quality as well and feels more rigid than the Vivobook S models that I'm rather partial to. The keyboard feels awesome and the corner facets are a unique design element as well.
Very curious if the stability issues reported by users could be remedied via a fresh install of Win11 IoT LTSC along with a bios update.
Personally, IPS is not a dealbreaker for me as they still look great and will likely outlive most OLEDs anyways without concern of burn-in. The biggest flaw here for me is what I have to assume is a locked 60hz refresh rate, as 120 is not advertised. I don't mind having a 60hz UI or games being 60fps max, but I really can't stand watching 24p video content on a 60hz panel.
All that aside this is a great all-rounder. If you're interested, you should be able to find an identical model of the same or lesser hardware specs on display at your local BB to get an idea of the overall build quality yourself.

Honestly, these issues are caused by all the HP bloatware and garbage that is factory installed. Many of my customers have these issues, and a good ole fashion deleting of all partitions and fresh copy of Win 11 has fixed these issues in all of these and similar modeled laptops 💻 in my experience. Many were getting BSOD and errors. Once the wipe and reinstall were done, there were no more issues. WARNING: doing the described fix above will delete your HP Recovery ability and you will not be able to factory reset machine again, this isnt a big deal for tech savvy folks but can be detrimental for the average user. My .02c
