I have a refurbished yoga 7 2-in-1 with intel ultra 7 series 1 and 16 GB ram plus 1 TB that I am within return window with Lenovo. Bought it around the same price. Any suggestions on whether I should return it and buy this one instead - this is new
Speaking from experience, the Best Buy Open Box deals can sometimes be so sweet. In 2021, I purchased an ASUS touchscreen 2 in 1 from them -- the one fault is it had an old HD system. Fast forward to last month and I upgraded to Yoga 9i 2-in-1 14" 4K OLED Touchscreen Laptop with Pen - Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 32GB Memory - 1TB SSD. It was only an open box "fair", but it had no scratches or dead pixels. In this case, the reason it was fair is that it did not come with the pen or original charger. Everything else on it is pristine.
$453 was price. Sometimes can get fine deals if you are patient.

never bought Lenovo laptop before and don't know much about this Ryzen AI CPU, how is it compare to other Ryzen 5 CPU? Don't really need the touch screen but wondering if this would be a good laptop for my nephew since he's going to college soon.

Went today to best buy to check this and the Dell 14 plus today (both similarly priced). I must say this one had a better screen than dell and overall the build quality felt better than Dell in terms of hinge and also body flex. Little lighter too. If I get the coupon for $50, I will pull the trigger (I saw the offer few days ago but not anymore)

FWIW... I grabbed this laptop today. I bought online and went to pick it up and messed with the display one for a bit before grabbing mine. It really seems like a great laptop. The screen is great. If the battery life is decent this will be great machine. Also, when I was checking out I opted out of the free anti-virus download. At that moment in the checkout process when I removed that the price dropped another $50 to $549. Something also said something about a BestBuy discount but I was checking out as a guest so I really don't think it was specific to my situation. For $549? 2-in-1 with an OLED 600nit screen? 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD? the Ryzen Ai 5 processor (which outperforms some of the i7 and A7 chips? I think this laptop is a great deal. Not sure there is a better package out there for under $600.Also, this morning I tried to get Lenovo to price match and they would not. Identical machine (in fact, I could by from Lenovo and pick up at Best Buy!)...Their reason.... because the deal is different because Lenovo offers a free 3 month membership to XBox Ultimate and Best Buy only offers 1 month free. Literally the only difference so Lenovo denies price match because of that detail.
I see the $549 price for the open box excellent. Do you think it could've been that?

Any thoughts on the $750 offering being worth the $150 difference? I'm conflicted.

Ryzen 7 AI 350 8 core over Ryzen 5 AI 340 6 core
Radeon 860M GPU over Radeon 840M GPU

SameI'll pull the trigger for the extra 50 off, but I don't want to pay full price knowing everybody else got it cheaper
I kept going back probably about 15 or 20 times and finally got it a few days ago. I was trying to decide between this one and another; and literally when I was about to purchase it that banner popped up and I immediately pulled the trigger. Love that I can use a USB C charger from my phone to power this and not have to deal with extra chargers any more.

Would it be worth waiting for Labor Day/Black Friday to see what's out or is this probably as good a deal as any to wait for?

Best Buy is saying that $50 off laptop offer is for BB credit card holder?

if that's the case, I've been wasting clicks, as I don't have a BB credit card. Oh well. I'll pass. Think I would bite on this deal at 550.

Dell may have renamed their product lines to try to confuse people or make them think it's new stuff, but that Dell 14 Plus is the same crappy Dell Inspiron with mediocre screens and it's just basically the same cheap laptop it's always been.

IMO, yes. You're also getting twice the hard drive. 1tb from 512gb.

IPS screen, not oled, and 300nit brightness not 600. 4.2, not 3.1 pounds which is expected given large screen. may or may not matter to you. The yoga is more premium than idea pad. from google:
The Lenovo IdeaPad and Yoga lines are two distinct series of laptops, each with its own strengths and target users. Yoga laptops, particularly the convertible Yoga models, are known for their 360-degree hinges that allow them to be used as both traditional laptops and tablets. They often feature premium designs, high-end components, and are generally more expensive than the IdeaPad series. IdeaPads, on the other hand, offer a wider range of models, including traditional clamshells, hybrids, and gaming-focused designs. They are generally more budget-friendly than the Yoga series, while still offering a variety of features and configurations.

No, definitely not open box. It was an offer that appeared...covered pretty well in this thread.

Sorry to keep asking about this, especially since I've no idea how soon the sale will end (figure it's got to be soon), but for the people who had the offer appear later, was it the regular banner ad under the search bar and page menu or was it a pop up? Everything in my Member Offers page seems to just be the links to various specific items on sale.
