FYI this is somewhere performance wise around the 4070Ti on the desktop GPU front, all the mobile GPUs are thermally constrained and won't output as much as desktop ones.

Apple has the same issue on their chipsets (eg the passively cooled Air vs Pro). It's just a physics thing, not an Nvidia thing.

Just fyi: this one was $1999 ($100 cheaper) at Micro Center last week due to "member" week (extra 100 off with free member registration). Glad that Micro Center keeps the price unchanged this week, although the $100 member discount is gone.

Not sure why only the 5080 and 5090 models were posted last week but nobody mentioned this 5070 ti model.

It wasn't because it was out of stock everywhere at that time, so there was no chance of buying it. Hence why it wasn't mentioned in that post.

Do these need to be plugged in to run at full speed I know the Asus zephyrus does. I think MacBook is the only one that runs at full speed without being plugged in is this true anyone know?
